Pain is a rare symptom of early breast cancer. You should take care on your pain and see your doctor as soon as possible since the pain may be the first symptom for invisible breast cancers.  For women with inflammatory breast cancer, pain or tenderness often is one of the first symptoms. This rare type of cancer tends to grow quickly and causes reddening and dimpling of the skin over the breast. A rare form of breast cancer called Paget’s disease of the nipple can cause pain and burning as an early symptom, along with irritation of the nipple.
